MA Lawmakers: Now’s the time to put Caregivers first!
The future of care in MA starts with treating all caregivers with respect.
To make sure homecare workers get paid and treated fairly it’s time for all homecare agencies to be licensed by the state. We also need to make sure that when the state increases funding for homecare, more than 75% goes to the actual care providers, not to management.
To make sure nursing homes workers can properly care for residents, we need enforceable staffing standards written into law.
To make sure that we keep the best trained workforce in our hospitals and health centers, we need MA to approve millions in additional funding for training and apprenticeship.
